Day Porter

Position: Day Porter / Cleaner Summary: This position involves performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure our facilities remain clean, safe, and welcoming. This is an on-call position, meaning work hours may vary depending on the needs of the site. Candidates must be flexible and available for call-ins as required. Duties and Responsibilities: Collect and empty trash cans. Dust all surfaces (walls, furniture, and equipment). Clean and restock restrooms. Follow established cleaning procedures. Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors. Perform routine maintenance activities. Clean and polish fixtures and furniture. Follow safety procedures for using cleaning chemicals and equipment. Notify management of needed repairs or maintenance. Perform any other duties as assigned by the manager/supervisor. Qualifications: Minimum six (6) months of janitorial or custodial experience preferred. Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures. Ability to stand, walk, and bend for long periods. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Experience using cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor buffers. Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety guidelines. Good communication and teamwork skills. Flexibility to work variable hours and respond to call-ins as needed. Additional Requirements: Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
