Job Summary:
A Daycare Assistant supports the daily operations of the childcare center by providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. This role involves assisting lead teachers with classroom activities, supervising children, maintaining cleanliness, and promoting each child's physical, emotional, and social development. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
- Assist with planning and implementing age-appropriate educational and recreational activities.
- Help children with meals, snacks, toileting, diapering, and personal hygiene as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom and play areas.
- Monitor children's behavior and encourage positive social interactions.
- Assist with nap time, transitions, and daily routines.
- Communicate professionally with parents and guardians regarding children's daily activities when appropriate.
- Follow all childcare licensing regulations and health and safety policies.
- Support lead teachers with classroom preparation, recordkeeping, and special projects.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and administer basic first aid if trained.
