We are seeking seasoned Dayforce Functional and Technical Lead to spearhead the implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of Ceridian Dayforce HCM across a complex, unionized, and government-regulated environment in public sector. This role demands deep expertise in Payroll and Benefits administration, with a proven ability to navigate intricate labor structures, compliance mandates, and multi-stakeholder requirements.
You will lead full lifecycle delivery of Dayforce solutions, from requirements gathering and configuration to deployment and stabilization. This role blends leadership with hands-on technical execution, and requires close collaboration with HR, Finance, and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end Dayforce HCM implementations and enhancements across modules including Payroll, Benefits, Core HR, Time & Attendance
Translate complex union and government-related business rules into scalable Dayforce configurations
Manage system architecture, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support
Serve as the primary Dayforce administrator, overseeing user access, reporting, security roles, and audit compliance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with third-party systems and middleware platforms
Develop and deliver customized training programs for end-users across departments
Author and maintain advanced reports, dashboards, and analytics within Dayforce
Lead payroll processing and benefits administration in a multi-union, multi-jurisdictional environment
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local labor regulations, including collective bargaining agreements
Drive change management and organizational readiness for HCM rollouts
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience with Dayforce HCM, including administration and implementation
Demonstrable experience managing Payroll and Benefits for unionized and government-regulated organizations
Proven success leading full-cycle Dayforce implementations, including configuration, testing, deployment, and support
Strong understanding of SDLC, IT Change Control, and application lifecycle management
Experience translating complex business requirements into functional and technical Dayforce solutions
Skilled in Dayforce reporting, security configuration, and role-based access control
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical teams
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate-level education (e.g., MBA or Master's in HRIS, Public Administration, or related field)
Dayforce Certified Implementation Professional (2023 or later)
Experience with Dayforce APIs, middleware integrations, and data migration strategies
Background in HR analytics and dashboard creation within Dayforce
Expertise in change management and user adoption strategies for HCM systems
Proven success in data mapping, transformation, and conversion during system implementations
Experience designing and delivering tailored training programs for diverse user groups
