    DB2 DBA(Mainframe)

    San Antonio, TX - onsite

    Contract

    Role Description:

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    10+ years of database administration/production support experience.

    Strong PostgreSQL DBA experience.

    Strong Mainframe DB2 / DB2 z/OS Administration experience.

    Advanced SQL, SQL optimization, query tuning, and execution-plan analysis.

    Experience with database migration, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.

    Strong backup, recovery, replication, HA, failover, and DR knowledge.

    Production troubleshooting using database/application/server logs.

    Experience with AWS RDS PostgreSQL or Azure PostgreSQL.

    Shell scripting and Linux/Windows server administration.

    Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, Git, and Jenkins.

    Exposure to Generative AI and AI-assisted development tools, especially GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, or AWS Kiro.

    Experience preparing RCA and incident reports and working within change/release management processes
