    Job Description

The AWS Infrastructure Services team is searching for a passionate and talented Program Manager to drive the planning, coordination, and execution of data center cabling strategy and optimization across our global infrastructure. AWS is at the forefront of a rapidly changing industry, operating at a scale and complexity that has never been tackled before. This role sits at the intersection of tactical execution, strategic program management, and cross-functional leadership. You"ll have unparalleled visibility into how AWS keeps the cloud running - supporting the data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling systems that millions of customers rely on every day.

This role influences how AWS optimizes its existing infrastructure cabling footprint through data-driven planning and disciplined execution. It is responsible for managing complex, multi-variable programs that span networking, infrastructure, and global decommissioning teams. It will be responsible for developing scalable workflows, process improvements, and reporting mechanisms that drive accountability and eliminate non-value-add activity. This role bridges project delivery teams, senior leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders by driving execution plans and surfacing critical decisions at the right level. This is a high-impact role offering an opportunity to Think Big while delivering results on the ground - directly shaping the reliability, cost efficiency, and risk posture of AWS"s global cabling infrastructure. The ideal candidate is an exceptionally strong communicator, a trusted cross-functional partner, and a leader who thrives in ambiguity and drives clarity through structure.

Join us in keeping the engine of cloud computing running at global scale.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Lead executive-level reporting on program health, delivering root-cause analysis and actionable insights that drive cabling infrastructure optimization decisions
    • Pioneer scalable, data-driven process improvements and automated solutions that transform how AWS manages its data center cabling portfolio
    • Manage competing priorities across multiple programs, navigating dependencies, trade-offs, and critical path decisions to deliver site-level cabling execution plans
    • Build program mechanisms that monitor and escalate against the health of cable strategy and implementation plans for critical projects
    • Unite cross-functional teams - including project delivery, networking, infrastructure, and global decommissioning - around a shared execution vision across multiple time zones

    About Company

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
