Location: Mazda of Valley Stream | Valley Stream, NY

Pay Rate: $21 - $25 (Full Time, On-Site)

Mazda of Valley Stream is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Facilities Porter to keep our building clean, welcoming, and well maintained while assisting with basic lot operations.

Building cleaning and lot support are equally important parts of this position. Daily assignments include cleaning restrooms and customer areas, removing trash, and safely moving vehicles. Priorities will shift throughout the day based on dealership needs.

We are looking for someone who notices what needs attention, follows through on assigned tasks, and takes ownership of the dealership’s appearance.

Responsibilities

Building Cleaning & Upkeep

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; dust and wipe designated surfaces.

• Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, fixtures, and floors; check and replenish supplies throughout the day.

• Maintain the showroom, customer lounge, coffee station, employee breakroom, and common areas.

• Empty trash and recycling, replace liners, and address spills promptly.

• Clean entrance doors, interior glass, and accessible windows.

• Remove litter from building entrances, sidewalks, and designated lot areas.

Vehicle & Lot Support

• Safely move, park, retrieve, and stage vehicles for appointments, test drives, deliveries, and daily operations.

• Help maintain organized parking areas and follow vehicle key-control procedures.

• Assist with vehicle transfers and approved dealership errands as assigned.

• Complete daily checklists and report supply shortages, vehicle damage, maintenance concerns, or unsafe conditions.

Qualifications

• At least one year of relevant porter, commercial cleaning, custodial, dealership, rental fleet, or similar experience. Experience with both cleaning and vehicle handling is strongly preferred.

• Valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to our insurance carrier.

• Ability to safely maneuver and park vehicles and use cleaning products properly.

• Dependable attendance, punctuality, and respectful communication.

• Ability to follow directions, work independently, and coordinate changing priorities with the designated supervisor.

• Ability to perform the essential physical duties and work indoors and outdoors in seasonal weather, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Schedule

Tuesday–Saturday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Saturdays required. Consistent weekly schedule.
