Overall Requirements: The Debug Engineer is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex technical issues across systems, products, and/or processes. This role requires strong analytical skills and a methodical approach to root cause analysis to identify and resolve failures at the component and system level. The ideal candidate thrives in a repair-focused environment, collaborates effectively with technicians and quality teams, and is committed to improving turnaround times, repair success rates, and overall product reliability.

Responsibilities:

Perform detailed debugging, fault isolation, and repair of telecommunications circuit boards and related equipment Execute component-level troubleshooting, including identifying defective parts and recommending repairs or replacements Document failure modes, root causes, and repair actions for tracking and continuous improvement Collaborate with technicians, test teams, and quality to resolve recurring issues and improve repair processes Develop and refine troubleshooting procedures, test methods, and repair standards Identify trends in failures and recommend corrective or preventative actions Escalate complex or unresolved issues as needed and provide clear technical updates Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and turnaround time targets

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in engineering and/or 3+ years' of relevant experience

Additional Qualifications

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail Proficiency in relevant tools or languages (e.g., Python, C/C++, SQL, lab instrumentation, test tools) Ability to troubleshoot down to the component level Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent documentation and technical reporting skills Ability to interpret schematics, logs, or system designs Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies quickly Knowledge and use of MS Office suite and data management tools considered a strong asset Ability to prioritize and complete work in a timely fashion; this is a fast-paced quick turnaround environment Ability to collaborate with peers at all levels within the organization Health and Safety conscious
