Description

Presidio is seeking a F5 Network Engineer to join our team in Plano, TX, Charlotte, NC, or Malvern, PA. This is a hybrid position requiring three days on-site per week.

Hands-on network engineer responsible for the design, implementation, operation, and optimization of enterprise application delivery platforms. This role focuses on day-to-day engineering, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of F5 BIG-IP services (LTM, DNS/GTM), load balancing, SSL/TLS, iRules, automation, and telemetry-driven operations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on network engineering experience in enterprise environments.
  • Strong practical experience with F5 BIG-IP (LTM and DNS/GTM) including virtual servers, pools/monitors, profiles, SSL/TLS, and high availability.
  • Proven ability to perform packet broker, capture and protocol-level troubleshooting in complex networks.
  • Experience supporting remote connectivity solutions (VPN, secure access, hybrid connectivity).
  • Working knowledge of automation using scripting languages and APIs (e.g., iControl REST) to improve consistency and accelerate delivery.
  • Experience using network telemetry, monitoring, and observability tools to drive operational insight.
  • Solid understanding of routing, switching, security, and high-availability network designs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex, cross-domain network issues end to end.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical issues and solutions.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
