Deicing Assembler

Excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door with one of Long Island's finest manufacturers who really knows how to take care of their employees. Our client is seeking an outgoing individual to join their team as a Deicing Assembler. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling composite and electrometric materials with complex fixtures and tooling. Flexible first shift scheduling options in Plainview, NY. Chhose from:

• Four 10 hr/days per week
• Five 8 hr/days per week
• Four 9 hr/days and one 4 hr/day per week

Responsibilities:

• Assemble composite and electrometric materials with complex fixtures and tooling
• Follow detailed instructions and blueprints to ensure accuracy and quality of work
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
• Mix adhesive RTV, or any other sealing compound.
• Layup using simple powers tools, and equipment, air press, air tools, riveting equipment, etc. Crimp, spotweld terminal.
• Mold cement, T/S check, record resistance.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in composite and electrometric material assembly preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex fixtures and tooling
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

$20,00-$23.00/hr
