Load, transport, and deliver products, supplies, and inventory safely and efficiently to all company locations and vendors.
• Review delivery orders before and after transport to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules while maintaining timely service.
• Operate company vehicles, vans, dollies, and related equipment safely and responsibly.
• Maintain a clean driving record and comply with all transportation laws and safety regulations.
• Ensure proper temperature control and safe handling of perishable food products during transport.
• Organize vehicle storage areas to maximize space and protect products during delivery.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Communicate proactively with dispatch or management regarding delays, route changes, or delivery issues.
• Receive incoming deliveries and inspect products for damage or shortages.
• Load and unload inventory using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
• Organize and store inventory accurately within warehouse and storage areas.
• Implement and maintain a First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory system to reduce waste and spoilage.
• Assist with stock counts and inventory management.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of warehouse, storage rooms, delivery vehicles, and equipment.
• Label and date all incoming products accurately to support traceability and food safety compliance.
• Report damaged, expired, or recalled products to the supervisor immediately.
• Provide professional and courteous service to store teams, vendors, and customers.
• Answer questions and resolve delivery-related issues in a timely manner.
• Prepare delivery logs, reports, and other operational documents as required.
• Obtain delivery confirmations or signatures as required and maintain accurate proof-of-delivery records.
• Support overall store and warehouse operations as needed.
This position is fully on-site, with responsibilities performed at company warehouse facilities, store locations, and along assigned delivery routes. There is no remote work component associated with this role.
Employee will regularly work across warehouse and distribution environments, as well as travel to company store locations and vendor sites for deliveries and operational support.
While on the job, employee will be exposed to warehouse, and outdoor delivery environments that include moderate to high noise levels, moving equipment and vehicles, food preparation and storage areas, and varying temperature conditions including refrigerated and outdoor settings. Appropriate footwear, PPE, and adherence to all company safety and sanitation protocols are required at all times.
The employee must be comfortable performing physical tasks throughout the workday, working both independently and as part of a team, managing time and routes effectively, and maintaining professionalism and reliability across all work environments.
· Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
· Ability to safely operate delivery vans, dollies, and warehouse equipment.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills.
· Ability to work independently and follow schedules efficiently.
· Strong communication and customer service skills.
· Knowledge of food handling and sanitation practices is a plus.
· Commercial driving experience or special licensing is a plus.
· Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and MVR (motor vehicle record) review.
· Ability to read and follow delivery manifests, route instructions, and operational procedures.
· High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
· Previous delivery, warehouse, or transportation experience preferred.
· Familiarity with FIFO inventory practices or food service distribution is a plus.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
· This is a fully onsite, physically active position requiring hands-on warehouse and delivery tasks throughout the entirety of each shift.
· This role regularly requires the use of hands to finger, handle, or feel; reaching with hands and arms at or above shoulder height; and the ability to talk or hear effectively.
· Regular standing and walking for extended periods is required, along with frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and bending while loading, unloading, and organizing inventory.
· Occasional sitting is required (e.g., operating a delivery vehicle), as well as regularly climbing in and out of delivery vehicles and navigating, loading docks or ramps.
· This position requires regularly lifting and/or moving objects up to 25 pounds unassisted, frequently lifting and/or moving objects up to 50 pounds, and using proper lifting techniques or team lift protocols for objects exceeding 50 pounds.
· Regular pushing, pulling, and maneuvering of loaded dollies, hand trucks, and pallet jacks across warehouse floors, ramps, and uneven surfaces is required.
· This role demands the ability to perform repetitive physical tasks including lifting, carrying, bending, and reaching throughout the duration of a full shift.
· Regular work in varying temperature environments is expected, including refrigerated storage areas, warehouse spaces, and outdoor conditions in all weather.
· Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus necessary for safe vehicle operation, reading delivery manifests, and navigating warehouse environments.
· This position requires the ability to remain alert and physically responsive during extended periods of driving, including safely entering and exiting the vehicle repeatedly throughout the shift.
