Sterling Engineering is partnering with a stable and growing industrial organization in Crest Hill, IL to hire a Delivery Driver with a Class B CDL. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity offering consistent hours, overtime potential, and long-term career stability. The driver will operate a 24-foot stake bed truck to transport materials to customer locations and job sites while representing the company in a professional and safety-focused manner.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a 24' stake bed truck to safely deliver materials to customers and project sites
  • Load and secure materials properly for safe transport
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Maintain delivery documentation and obtain delivery confirmations
  • Communicate with dispatch and warehouse staff regarding routes and schedules
  • Assist with loading/unloading materials as needed
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies
  • Provide professional customer service during deliveries
Qualifications
  • Valid Class B CDL (required)
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass background/drug screening
  • Ability to safely operate stake bed trucks
  • Ability to lift, move, and secure materials during deliveries
  • Strong reliability and attendance
  • Good communication and customer interaction skills
Physical Demands
  • Frequent lifting, bending, and securing of materials
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Ability to safely enter and exit truck multiple times throughout the day
