Reporting to the Driver Supervisor, the Delivery Driver, is a motivated and detail-oriented individual who wants to be a part of our dynamic team. As a vital member of our distribution department, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate deliveries of aftermarket collision auto parts to our valued customers. In addition to delivery duties, you will also play a crucial role in collecting payments, ensuring smooth transactions, and maintaining positive customer relationships.
Responsibilities:
Delivery of Auto Parts:
Payment Collection:• Collect payments from customers upon delivery, following company guidelines and protocols.• Handle cash and checks securely.• Report any payment issues or discrepancies to the appropriate department.
Customer Service:• Interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner, maintaining a positive image for the company.• Address customer inquiries and concerns regarding deliveries and payments, or escalate issues as needed.• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through excellent service and communication.
Vehicle Maintenance:• Conduct daily inspections of the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition.• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as fueling, cleaning, and reporting any mechanical issues promptly.• Follow safety protocols and adhere to traffic laws while driving.
Record-Keeping:• Maintain accurate records of delivery routes, payment transactions, and mileage.• Submit delivery and payment reports to the appropriate department as required.
Vehicle Safety:• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the delivery vehicle.• Use seatbelts and ensure that the vehicle's safety features are functional.• Maintain a safe following distance and adjust driving speed according to road and weather conditions.• Avoid distracted driving, such as texting or using a mobile phone, while on the road.• Perform regular vehicle safety checks and report any issues immediately.
Loading and Unloading Safety:• Safely load and unload auto parts, using proper lifting techniques to prevent injuries.• Secure items within the delivery vehicle to prevent shifting during transit.• Use safety equipment, such as gloves and safety glasses, as appropriate.
