Job Description

Delivery Driver – Delivery Service Partner (DSP)

Merchant Deliveries, LLC | Wallingford, CT

Compensation: $23.25–$24.50 per hour

Shift Times: 9:15 AM–7:15 PM

Beginning November 15, 2026, shifts may begin at 7:15 AM or 9:15 AM to accommodate increased seasonal delivery demand.

About the Position

Merchant Deliveries, LLC is an independent Delivery Service Partner (DSP) providing last-mile package delivery services throughout our designated service areas.

We are seeking dependable, motivated, and safety-conscious individuals to join our team as Delivery Drivers.

As a Delivery Driver, you will play an important role in ensuring packages are delivered safely, accurately, and on time. You will operate a company-provided delivery van, follow assigned routes, and provide courteous, professional service to customers.

No CDL or previous delivery experience is required. Paid training is provided.

Delivery Driver Responsibilities

• Load and unload delivery vehicles with packages assigned for delivery.

• Safely operate a company-provided delivery van.

• Follow assigned GPS routes while complying with all traffic laws and safety procedures.

• Deliver packages to residential and commercial customers in a professional and courteous manner.

• Verify delivery addresses and follow customer delivery instructions.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe delivery vehicle.

• Use handheld devices and mobile applications to complete deliveries accurately.

• Report delivery issues, vehicle concerns, or other problems to management promptly.

• Maintain reliable attendance and meet established delivery expectations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.

• Must possess a current, valid driver's license.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Must be comfortable operating a delivery van.

• Must be able to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Must be able to work scheduled shifts lasting approximately 8–10 hours.

• Must be comfortable using GPS navigation and mobile applications.

• Must be dependable, punctual, and committed to safe driving practices.

• Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Weekend availability is required based on scheduling needs.

Previous delivery experience is preferred but not required.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.

• Must possess a current, valid driver's license and meet company driving eligibility requirements.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Must be able to lift, carry, and handle packages weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Must be comfortable operating a company-provided cargo van.

• Must be able to work shifts lasting approximately 8–10 hours.

• Must be able to walk, climb stairs, bend, and repeatedly enter and exit a delivery vehicle throughout the shift.

• Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Must be comfortable using GPS navigation, smartphones, and delivery applications.

• Must demonstrate safe driving practices and follow all applicable traffic laws.

• Must be dependable, punctual, and capable of working independently while contributing to a team environment.

• Must be available for scheduled weekend and holiday shifts based on operational needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous delivery, courier, transportation, or customer service experience is a plus but not required.

• Strong time-management and organizational skills.

• Ability to follow detailed instructions and adapt to changing delivery conditions.

• Professional communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.

• Ability to maintain accuracy and meet established delivery performance standards.
