Demand Generation Lead / Marketing Manager
Location: Remote — Indiana or East Coast preferred
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: VP of Sales and Founding Team
About the Company
Our client is building an Agentic Commerce Platform that enables AI agents to understand shopper intent and complete purchases through natural conversation.
The platform combines chat, voice, video, search, data, AI, and personalisation to help ecommerce and retail brands improve customer engagement, conversion, and measurable revenue outcomes.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced, highly hands-on Demand Generation Lead / Marketing Manager to execute the company’s existing marketing strategy and help build its market presence.
This is not a strategy-only or team-management role. The successful candidate will be expected to create content, build campaigns, organise events, use marketing tools directly, and work closely with the founding team and sales leadership.
The most important requirement is the ability to produce high-quality content and storytelling at scale, including social posts, images, banners, sales decks, case studies, blogs, emails, and website content.
The candidate should have strong experience in ecommerce, MarTech, retail technology, or a closely related B2B technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
Content and Brand Execution
- Create and manage content across LinkedIn, email, website, blogs, sales materials, and other relevant channels
- Produce posts, images, banners, decks, case studies, articles, and campaign assets
- Translate complex topics such as AI, agentic commerce, and conversational shopping into clear commercial messaging
- Follow and apply the company’s existing brand, messaging, and content guidelines
- Repurpose content across multiple channels and formats
- Support social media and founder-led content execution
Events and Field Marketing
- Organise conferences, industry events, webinars, and field-marketing activities
- Manage event logistics, campaigns, collateral, meeting generation, and follow-up
- Work with sales to convert event activity into qualified opportunities
- Track attendance, meetings, leads, and pipeline contribution
Outbound Campaigns
- Build and execute targeted outbound campaigns through email, LinkedIn, and other channels
- Use tools such as Clay, Apollo, Outreach, or similar platforms
- Create prospect lists, messaging, sequences, and campaign assets
- Segment audiences by industry, account type, role, and buying signals
- Test and optimise campaigns based on response rates, meetings, and pipeline generated
SEO
- Bring a strong understanding of SEO and organic growth
- Work closely with an SEO agency to develop, brief, review, and prioritise activity
- Identify relevant topics and buyer-focused content opportunities
- Support optimisation of website pages, blogs, landing pages, and content structure
- Monitor organic traffic, rankings, conversions, and inbound leads
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in demand generation, content marketing, growth marketing, or a related B2B marketing role
- Required experience in ecommerce, MarTech, retail technology, or an adjacent technology sector
- Demonstrated ability to create content and marketing assets at scale
- Strong writing, storytelling, and communication skills
- Hands-on experience with outbound campaigns across email and LinkedIn
- Experience using tools such as Clay, Apollo, Outreach, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar
- Experience organising and executing industry events or field-marketing programmes
- Strong SEO understanding and experience working with SEO agencies or external specialists
- Comfortable working directly in marketing platforms and producing campaigns without relying on a large team
- Commercial and analytical mindset, with the ability to track campaign performance and pipeline impact
- Comfortable working in a lean, early-stage company environment
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an ecommerce-native, highly hands-on demand-generation operator who can execute the company’s existing strategy across content, events, outbound, and SEO.
They should be comfortable getting into the detail, creating assets themselves, launching campaigns, managing tools, and working closely with the CEO, founding team, and sales.
Candidates do not need to be equally specialised across every marketing discipline. However, they must have a clear area of strength—particularly content storytelling at scale—alongside practical experience across the other core demand-generation activities.
This role is best suited to someone who wants to grow into a broader marketing leadership position after proving they can execute effectively in a lean startup environment.
