LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a leading technology and automation-focused organization to identify an Electronics Planner/Buyer. This role is responsible for planning, sourcing, and managing electronic components and materials to support manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate is experienced in procurement and supply chain planning, with strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure material availability and operational efficiency.
Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 annually
Job Title: Electronics Planner / Buyer (Direct Hire)
Location: Moorestown, NJ
Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 annually
Key Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Planning & Inventory Management
- Develop and implement supply plans to maintain optimal inventory levels for electronic components and assemblies
- Analyze inventory data, lead times, and order quantities to align supply with demand
- Support multiple production facilities by ensuring timely material availability
Procurement & Supplier Management
- Source materials through RFQs and negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers
- Manage supplier relationships to meet performance expectations related to cost, quality, and delivery
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any procurement or delivery issues
Systems & Data Analysis
- Utilize ERP systems to plan requirements, create and manage purchase orders, and maintain data integrity
- Identify scheduling challenges and implement corrective actions
- Analyze procurement and inventory data to drive efficiency and reduce risk
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with internal stakeholders, including operations and engineering, to support production needs
- Communicate with suppliers to ensure materials meet specifications, quality standards, and timelines
- Ensure purchasing activities align with broader business and operational goals
Compliance & Process Improvement
- Ensure procurement practices comply with company policies and operational requirements
- Monitor key metrics such as supplier delivery performance, quality, and purchasing terms
- Identify and implement process improvements within planning and purchasing functions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, planning, or supply chain roles
- Experience with electronic or electro-mechanical components preferred
- Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (Oracle preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Professional certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) preferred
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
