Denials Coordinator

Position Summary:

Responsible for immediate review of all denied claims, identification of the basis for filing and appeal, and/or resubmission of an accurate, compliant, and timely claim resulting in reconsideration by the third parity payer or upholding denial resulting in write-off. Coordinates the day to day operations of denial follow-up and all support activities associated with these duties. Responsibility for developing and maintaining a denials management system in Oracle Health Patient Accounting and generating all trending and management reports. Works with the Directors and Managers within but not limited to patient accounts, patient access, ancillary registration areas, case management, managed care contracting and controller's office to apprise of the trends and process improvement opportunities.

Position Qualification:

Preferred minimum of 2 years experience in Patient Accounting or Patient Access, with knowledge of health insurance, billing and precertification requirements.
