Position Title: Dental Assistant
Location: Fort Worth, TX (Private Practice)
Employment Type: Full-Time Pay Range: $15–$18 per hour (based on experience and certifications)
Schedule: 5 days per week
Job Summary
We are a well-established, independent dental practice in Fort Worth, Texas, dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care in a warm and supportive environment. We are seeking a reliable, positive, and team-oriented Dental Assistant to join our close-knit team. In this role, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth, efficient patient flow, delivering excellent chairside support, and helping create comfortable, positive experiences for every patient.
Primary Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for a variety of dental procedures (general, restorative, cosmetic, extractions, implants, Invisalign, etc.)
Provide direct chairside assistance to the dentist during all procedures
Take high-quality digital x-rays (FMX, bitewings, periapicals), intraoral photos, and impressions/scans as needed
Perform sterilization, disinfection, and maintenance of instruments and equipment in compliance with OSHA and CDC guidelines
Comfort patients, explain procedures in a clear and reassuring manner, and provide post-operative instructions
Update patient electronic charts, document treatments accurately, and maintain organized records
Assist with basic front-office tasks when necessary (patient check-in/out, scheduling, phone support)
Keep clinical areas clean, stocked, and ready for the next patient
Support infection control protocols and maintain a safe, welcoming clinical environment
Qualifications & Requirements
Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification in Texas (or eligibility to obtain)
Current CPR certification
Previous dental assisting experience preferred (but we welcome motivated newer assistants with strong potential and a willingness to learn)
Friendly, calm, and professional demeanor with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to multitask in a busy yet rewarding setting
Team-player attitude with a genuine passion for helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment
