Full-Time Dental Assistant (Will Train, No Experience Needed)
Boran Dental, Minersville, PA (Schuylkill County)
Pay: $17–$20 per hour
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM (Fridays off!)

Boran Dental is a friendly dental practice in Minersville, led by Dr. Joshua Tran. We take good care of our patients, and we take good care of each other. We're looking for someone warm and dependable to join our team as a Dental Assistant. No dental experience? That's fine. We'll train you on the job.

What you'll do
As a trainee, you'll start with the basics and take on more as you learn:
• Greet patients, seat them, and help them feel comfortable and at ease
• Prepare and break down treatment rooms between patients
• Clean, sterilize, and organize instruments, following infection-control and OSHA guidelines
• Hand instruments and materials to Dr. Tran during procedures (chairside assisting)
• Set up trays and run suction during treatment
• Go over post-treatment care instructions and oral-hygiene tips with patients
• Update patient charts and help with scheduling and the front desk when needed
• Keep supplies stocked and help with inventory
• Once you're radiology-certified: take dental X-rays under Dr. Tran's supervision
What we're looking for
• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable and on time. Patients and teammates depend on you.
• Friendly, patient, and good with people, including nervous patients and kids
• Willing to learn and comfortable taking feedback
• Detail-oriented, with clean work habits
• Able to stand and move around for much of the day
• Dental or healthcare experience is a plus, but not required
A note on X-ray certification (Pennsylvania)
Pennsylvania does not set education or exam requirements for basic dental assistants, so we can train you on the job for general assisting duties. To take dental X-rays in PA, an assistant must first pass the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) exam. That exam is the State Board of Dentistry's approved radiology exam. Once you pass, you can take X-rays at our office under the dentist's supervision. We'll help you prepare for the exam and get certified.
