Dental Hygienist – Join Our Caring Team!
Location: Edgewater, MD
Schedule: Full-time, 27 hours per week
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday & Thursday | 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM Friday
Pay: $50–$59 per hour
We're a warm, family-focused dental practice dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care to our community and patients from the Annapolis and D.C. areas. We're looking for a friendly, skilled Dental Hygienist who shares our passion for making patients feel comfortable and cared for.
What You'll Do:
- Perform preventive care including dental cleanings, scaling and root planing, polishing, sealants, and fluoride applications.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, periodontal charting, take radiographs, and help create personalized care plans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and home care in a clear, supportive way.
- Maintain accurate clinical notes and follow all infection control and safety protocols.
- Work closely with the dentists and team to ensure a smooth, patient-centered experience.
What You'll Need:
- Current Maryland Dental Hygienist license and graduation from an accredited program.
- Strong skills in preventive and periodontal procedures.
- Experience with dental X-rays, digital imaging, and practice management software.
- Excellent communication and patient education skills.
- Commitment to infection control, safety, and compassionate care.
- Strong organization and teamwork abilities.
- CPR/BLS certification (required).
- Experience in a general or family dental practice is preferred. Interest in aesthetic/restorative care is a plus.
