We are looking for an exceptional Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7am-3pm and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care while promoting good oral health and hygiene. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will utilize your clinical expertise to perform thorough cleanings, assessments, and patient education, ensuring a positive experience for every patient. Duties:
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options to promote lifelong dental health.
Assist with chairside procedures such as applying sealants, fluoride treatments, and taking dental radiographs using medical imaging equipment.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Open Dental, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
Follow strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination.
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, including dental coding when necessary for billing purposes.
Experience:
Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental clinic or office setting.
Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control standards essential for safe practice.
Hands-on experience with EMR systems such as Open Dental preferred.
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical records management to ensure confidentiality.
Previous experience in general dentistry and patient care is advantageous.
Demonstrated ability to perform dental imaging procedures accurately and review documentation thoroughly.
