About the Role:
Casa Smiles is looking for a passionate and caring Pediatric Assistant to join our team in Hialeah, FL! Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist chairside during pediatric dental procedures and examinations
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and treatment rooms between patients
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) as directed
- Help manage patient comfort and anxiety, especially with young or nervous children
- Record patient information, treatment notes, and medical histories accurately
- Educate patients and parents on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist with front office coordination as needed
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a dental assistant, pediatric assistant, or in a clinical dental setting preferred
- Dental radiography (X-ray) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and sterilization protocols
- Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred for this Hialeah, FL location
- Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with children of all ages
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire
