Overview:
Syosset Dental is searching for a part-time Dental Receptionist to join our dedicated team! We take pride in providing exceptional dental care. The best individual for this role has strong communication skills, is team-oriented, and can multitask effectively.
Compensation: $27-30 per hour, based on experience
Schedule
- Part-time
- Approximately 25 hours per week
- Monday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
- Tuesday, 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm
- Wednesday, 12:00 pm - 5:30 pm
- Thursday/Friday, OFF (with possibility of adding every other Friday in the future, 9:00 am - 2:30 pm)
- 2-3 Saturdays a month, 8:00 am - 1:00 pm

Responsibilities
- Experienced dental receptionist, savvy with working with major PPO networks in addition to FFS patients, processing claims, preauthorizations, adjustments, and schedules
- Responsibilities include phones, checking patients in and out, scheduling, recalls, billing, electronic insurance filing, and follow-up
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments/manage changes in schedule to ensure smooth workflow
- Verify insurance coverage and assist with billing and payments
Qualifications
- 2+ years of prior dental front office experience is required
- Proficiency in Dentrix dental software
- Experience with Insurance coordination
- Orthodontic knowledge is a plus (coding, etc.)
- Social media is a plus
