Adelphi is seeking a dentist to provide dental care for youth detained in a secured facilities in the Columbia, SC area. The dentist will work with youth between the ages of twelve (12) to twenty -one (21)to provide direct patient care for approximately 24 -40 hours weekly Mon -Fri. There will be a dental assistant and a full -time hygienist to assist. <\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Thorough knowledge of dental practices and developments in the field of dentistry.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Considerable knowledge of departmental polices, rules, and regulations pertaining to dental health services.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Considerable knowledge of dental health problems in the community or health facilities to which assigned.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Ability to supervise assigned personnel.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, departmental personnel from other professional disciplines within the institution, clinic, or community setting.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Ability to perform dental work of a professional and independent nature.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Ability to supervise and train dental assistants, hygienists, and residents.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/div>
