This position assesses and evaluates patient oral health needs, provides diagnostic and therapeutic dental care, develops and manages treatment plans, and supports safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.

The Dentist also participates in clinic-wide integrated services, including Well-Child checks, Chronic Care Management, community outreach, and patient education. When serving as the lead provider on the floor, this position may also provide clinical supervision and guidance to dental staff.

  • Current DEA license or application in process.
  • Current ACLS certification.
  • Ability to provide preventive, restorative, diagnostic, and therapeutic dental services within professional scope of practice.
  • Strong knowledge of dental charting, clinical documentation, patient confidentiality, safety, and infection-control requirements.
  • Strong organizational, communication, clinical judgment, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with patients, staff, leadership, and interdisciplinary care teams.
  • Ability to maintain professional licensure, continuing education requirements, and good standing with applicable professional organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two or more years of experience working in a rural and/or underserved clinical environment.
  • Experience working in community health, public health, or a similar patient-centered dental setting.
  • Experience supporting integrated care, preventive health initiatives, or community outreach programs.
  • Experience mentoring, training, or providing clinical guidance to dental staff.
  • Additional emergency certification or training such as PALS, ATLS, or similar emergency preparation.
