Department Head

We are currently seeking a Department Head who can coordinate internal resources and manage the successful planning, execution and reporting of tasking for the Verification and Validation (V&V) project. The person to fill this role requires a solid technical background in Tactical Data Links and/or experience in Test and Evaluation, System Development and/or System Engineering of U.S. Navy Command and Control Processor (C2P) and combat systems.CORE FUNCTIONS / JOB DUITESPerform the following under the general supervision and guidance from senior leaders:Coordinate internal resources and sub-contractors for the successful execution of projects.Maintain and manage relationships with clients, sub-contractors and stakeholders of assigned projects.Basic project knowledge and technical understanding and/or hands-on experience in department related field.Knowledge of the associated DoD policies, procedures and processes required for proper implementation of project plans and milestones.Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility and execution realism.Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate techniques. Perform risk management to minimize project risks.Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation to include detailed project plans to monitor and track progress of assigned projects.Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques and communicate/report project status and needs to management and associated clients.Develop existing staff capabilities, perform hiring and staff management functions in accordance with company policies. Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required.
