Deputy Program Manager
L3Harris Technologies is seeking an experienced Program Manager to join the Space Ground Solutions PMO team. The Deputy Program Manager serves as a primary customer contact and is jointly responsible with the Program Manager for program quality, cost, schedule, and performance while supporting leadership of a larger program. This role supports a program involving the development, testing, fielding, and O&M of a command and control system for national security space. The Deputy Program Manager may also manage subcontractors, oversee cost and schedule performance, help establish milestone objectives, and lead engineering teams in a dynamic environment.
Essential Functions:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of one or more defense programs
- Manage or support management of aspects of the program to include cost, schedule, and technical performance
- Work collaboratively with the Senior Program Manager and Chief Engineer for the successful execution of the program
- Ensure aspects of the program such as risk management, configuration management, property management, subcontract management, security, and contracts are executed in accordance with contractual/purchase order
- Ensure delivery of contractual/purchase order items such as CDRLs/SDRLs
- Work with company functional leaders to plan, staff and tool the program
- Interface with the customer on behalf of the program
- Present program performance data and metrics at program management and customer reviews
- Lead or delegate proposal generation for the program
- Generate and deliver articulate and persuasive briefings
Qualifications:
- Must have an Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience; Or, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
- 4 plus years of experience with the Department of Defense
- Knowledgeable of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) techniques
- Technical experience in Scaled Agile development, testing, and production of software product lines
- Experience with ground control systems, satellite missions, and/or Agile software development
- Experience dealing with U.S. Air Force, U.S. Space Force, and/or Intelligence Community acquisitions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication with ability to clearly communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and meticulousness in completing tasks
- Able to travel up to 20%
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in the Greater D.C area is $106,500-$197,500. The salary range for this role in Colorado state is $92,500-$171,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
