JOB TITLE: Design and Analysis Engineer 4 - Electronic Systems
LOCATION: Hazelwood, MO
PAY RATE: Up to $78/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Lead collaboration with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.

  • Translate requirements into system architectures, hardware and software designs, and interface specifications.

  • Lead system testing and validation efforts to ensure designs meet operational and functional requirements.

  • Oversee supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance.

  • Provide lifecycle support for fielded hardware and software, research emerging technologies, and recommend technology investments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years, Master’s with 7+ years, or PhD with 4+ years of experience from an accredited program in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

  • Aerospace experience required 

  • 3+ years of experience with electrical avionics system design, including:

    • Electrical systems and subsystem design

    • Interface cable design between systems and platforms

    • Electrical hardware/software integration

    • Vendor coordination for part selection

    • Hardware/software testing in laboratory environments

  • Experience or knowledge of VPX/VME form factors

  • Experience or knowledge of communication standards and protocols, including:

    • RS-422 / RS-232

    • PC/104

    • TCP/IP & Ethernet

    • IEEE-488

    • MMSI

    • MIL-STD-1553

  • Technical system domain knowledge (e.g., air vehicles and/or weapons systems)

  • Experience with product and systems development and integration

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience or knowledge of cybersecurity principles or related certifications

  • Experience or knowledge of network design

  • Familiarity with military hardware design and testing standards (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-1472, etc.)

  • Experience with CAD tools and creation of electrical schematics

  • Experience with systems engineering tools, schedules, and metrics (e.g., DOORS, CAMEO, Earned Value Management)

  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

  • CompTIA Security+ Certification
