    Salary: $71,000 - $130,000

    Location:Dubuque, IA ( Hybrid )

    Must Have:

    • Experience working with hydraulics and hose assembly.
    • Proficiency with Solidworks

    Job Summary:

    In this dynamic role, you will collaborate with a cross-functional team to contribute to the development of new products, enhance existing offerings, and address market needs while ensuring adherence to quality and cost objectives. Strong communication skills are crucial, as you will engage regularly with internal teams, customers, and suppliers. This position involves a comprehensive range of responsibilities, including hands-on activities, office work, and proficiency in MRP/ERP software, SolidWorks, and specification development. The Design Engineer will play a pivotal role in incorporating new designs into SolidWorks and the MRP/ERP system.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Continuous Improvement Projects:

    • Collaborate with Manufacturing on the realization of continuous improvement projects.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with Engineering, Sales, Purchasing, and QC to address current production and QC issues.

    Product Development and Support:

    • Take direction from the Director of Product Development and Engineering Team to contribute to the development of new products and support existing offerings.

    Innovative Solutions:

    • Develop smart fluid conveyance solutions by applying innovative thinking to address customer problems.

    Support to Sales and Marketing:

    • Provide feedback and support to the Sales and Marketing group through product testing, development, and qualification of both new and existing product lines.

    ERP System Management:

    • Create new part number setups, routings, work ticket templates, and other work details in the ERP system.

    SolidWorks Design:

    • Generate drawings in SolidWorks for new designs and collaborate with suppliers to transfer drawings into a ProPulse design format.

    Supply Chain Management:

    • Work with Supply Management on the adoption of new suppliers, parts, availability, lead time, and integration into current production.

    Collaboration with Production and Extrusion Personnel:

    • Collaborate with production and extrusion personnel on new concepts and streamline current product designs.

    Qualifications:

    • Strong understanding of hydraulics, hose assembly, thermoplastic hose extrusion, and assembly.
    • Experience in Plastic Injection Molding is a plus.
