Interpret and implement customer engineering drawings, specifications, standards, and electrical requirements.
Select and integrate connectors, terminals, clips, splices, shielding, conduits, and protective components.
Understanding Customer supplied DVPR and interpreting those and executing it.
Support prototype builds, engineering changes, issue resolution, and design validation activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, purchasing, validation, quality, and supplier engineering.
Participate in DFMEA, DFM/DFA reviews, and engineering change management processes.
Ensure designs meet automotive quality, safety, and regulatory requirements for LV and HV systems.
Support customer meetings, design reviews, and program launch activities.
Support for organizational activities for VA/VE & inventory control
KNOWLEDGE / CONOCIMIENTO-
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with Elec knowledge.
3-5 years of experience in automotive or commercial vehicle wiring harness design and development.
Hands-on experience with Siemens Capital Harness Software.
Strong knowledge of Low Voltage Harnesses and High Voltage Cable systems.
Good understanding of vehicle Electrical/Electronic (E/E) architecture.
Knowledge of automotive connectors, terminals, grounding, shielding, and wiring protection systems.
Ability to read and interpret customer drawings, engineering specifications, and OEM standards.
Familiarity with automotive product development lifecycle and engineering release processes.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
Previous role with key OEM/Tier account; light vehicle, commercial vehicle, specialized product OEM related to agriculture, construction or recreational sports.
Skill/ knowledge requirements:
Technical expertise in harness design and development & Bills of Material creation.
