We are seeking a Design Manager to support the development and implementation of building design standards, templates, and planning strategies for large-scale logistics, industrial, and aviation-related operations facilities. This role will focus on the planning, review, and optimization of air cargo, airport support, and operational facilities, requiring close coordination with cross-functional stakeholders and external design consultants.

Responsibilities

• Review and coordinate facility designs with internal teams and external consultants.
• Support design standards, templates, and planning strategies across multiple projects.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews to ensure compliance with design standards, operational requirements, and applicable codes.
• Develop and evaluate conceptual layouts, test fits, and design alternatives.
• Coordinate with architecture, engineering, construction, operations, and real estate stakeholders.
• Review consultant deliverables for completeness, accuracy, and constructability.
• Support planning efforts involving operational layouts, circulation paths, equipment clearances, and space utilization.
• Track design progress, milestones, issues, and action items across active projects.
• Provide technical design guidance and recommendations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to design standards, workflows, and quality processes.

Essential Skills

• Design management for large industrial, warehouse, distribution, fulfillment, manufacturing, or logistics facilities.
• Design reviews, QA/QC, and consultant coordination.
• Space planning, operational layout review, and test-fit analysis.
• Stakeholder management across design, engineering, construction, and operations.
• Proficiency with Revit, Bluebeam, BIM 360/ACC, and construction document review.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor"s degree in Architecture or related design discipline.
• 5-10 years of architecture, industrial design, logistics facility, or design management experience.
• Experience supporting projects from concept design through construction administration.
• Experience with warehouse, fulfillment center, manufacturing, distribution, logistics, mission-critical, or large industrial projects.
• Strong consultant coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience reviewing multidisciplinary design packages and construction documents.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Strong QA/QC mindset and attention to detail.
• Aviation, airport, or air cargo project experience is a plus but not required.

Work Environment

Work closely with Engineers, Architects, and Designers to develop building designs. The environment offers exposure to highly visible, program-level design initiatives involving industrial, logistics, air cargo, and operational infrastructure. The role requires collaboration with a wide range of internal stakeholders and external consultants while contributing to design strategies that impact operational efficiency, cost, safety, maintainability, and scalability. Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Seattle, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
