Our designers focus on solving real problems - not pushing products - by offering thoughtful advice, personalized designs, and expert recommendations during in-home consultations.We are seeking individuals who are creative problem-solvers with a genuine desire to help people, backed by strong communication skills and a passion for design. Successful Designers understand how to treat clients with respect, listen attentively, and educate them on the possibilities Art of Drawers can provide.
This is a flexible, commission-based opportunity, ideal for individuals looking for part-time flexibility. Designers create their own schedules and enjoy a mix of in-home consultations and remote work.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-home design consultations with prospective clients
- Capture detailed measurements, designs, and photos; upload promptly into our system
- Prepare client facing investment estimates, take client deposits, and manage follow-up communication
- Maintain accurate client records and manage pipeline opportunities
- Collaborate with installers to ensure seamless project execution
- Attend initial and ongoing product and sales training sessions
Qualifications
- Previous business to consumer sales experience (in-home sales sales experience preferred)
- Ability to quickly learn Art of Drawers product offerings, accurately design, measure and document solutions, and utilize our technology platform
- Strong organizational and oral/written professional communication skills
- Friendly, competitive, and self-motivated
- A genuine passion for helping people solve problems through design
- Have your own cell phone with internet access, laptop computer, printer, and reliable transportation
