Designer Sales Specialist

Talon Hiring Solutions has a client in the greater Birmingham, AL area that is looking for a Designer Sales Consultant to join the sales team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves working with people, has a natural eye for design, and enjoys the freedom and variety of a field-based sales role. You'll meet with clients in their homes, learn about their style and needs, and recommend customized window treatment solutions that bring their vision to life.

What You'll Do

• Meet with qualified homeowners in their homes to understand their design preferences and needs
• Consult with clients on window treatment options, including color, texture, style, and functionality
• Take accurate window measurements and prepare product recommendations
• Build strong relationships with clients and provide an exceptional customer experience
• Manage the full sales process from consultation through close
• Follow up with prospects and past clients to generate additional business and referrals
• Develop new business through networking, community involvement, referrals, and relationship building
• Attend weekly networking events and actively build relationships with interior designers, builders, contractors, realtors, and local businesses
• Maintain accurate client information and sales activity using technology and Google Workspace
• Continually develop product, design, and sales knowledge through ongoing training

What you will bring:

• 2+ years of sales experience preferred
• Window fashion or interior design experience is a plus, but not required
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure; proficiency to 1/16" preferred
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple appointments, follow-ups, and sales activities independently
