Desktop Support Administrator

Payrate: $21.75/hr
13 week Contract Assignment. Could Convert to FTE
Overview
Our client is seeking a Desktop Support Administrator to provide hands-on technical assistance to employees across multiple locations. This position supports the day-to-day performance of computers, mobile devices, software, and related IT services while resolving technical issues that impact productivity. The ideal candidate enjoys troubleshooting, working directly with end users, and delivering responsive customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide onsite and remote technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and related technology.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, connectivity, and application issues.
- Install, configure, maintain, and update computer equipment, operating systems, and business applications.
- Respond to technical support tickets, phone inquiries, and walk-in requests, prioritizing issues based on urgency and business impact.
- Support Windows environments, Microsoft Office applications, email systems, security software, and telecommunications services.
- Identify recurring technical problems and implement practical solutions to improve system reliability and minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of IT equipment, including hardware inventory, assigned devices, accessories, and system configurations.
- Assist with service desk operations and provide deskside support to employees at multiple facilities.
- Coordinate with other IT team members to troubleshoot complex issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule that includes overnight and weekend availability.
- Travel between company locations as needed to provide onsite technical assistance.
