Desktop Support Engineer in St. Louis, MO

Description In this role, youll need strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving and analytical skills, along with a customer-focused mindset. Youll troubleshoot issues, handle escalations and review operational data to spot recurring issues and trends. Youll also share insights that drive continuous improvement. Youll work both on your own and as part of a team, partnering with internal teams, customers and vendors to support endpoint technology, including desktop, productivity, payment and mobility solutions.

Required

• Commitment to building security into all decisions and daily work
• Strong knowledge of supporting the Windows operating system
• Working knowledge of Windows Print, Windows Print Server and thin clients
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 in cloud and on-premises environments
• Experience with IT service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy, SolarWinds)
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Organized, thorough and detail-oriented, with strong time management skills
• Proven technical writing skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
• Investigate, diagnose and resolve complex issues that dont have known solutions
• Create and publish knowledge documentation from investigation and support work for future use
• Use your own technical expertise, help from senior engineers, knowledge resources and internal tools to find the best fix for customer issues
• Meet service level agreements (SLAs) to manage customer expectations and quality standards

Preferred

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems or equivalent experience
• General understanding of Active Directory (GPO, OU, Groups) and Windows Server
• Scripting knowledge (e.g., command line, PowerShell)
• General knowledge of Windows App and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
• General understanding of Android and macOS
• Experience with Cisco AnyConnect
• Splunk experience
• Working knowledge of Agile methodology using Jira
• Task automation and process improvement experience
• Ability to use data analytics to find trends and areas to improve
• Ability to interpret data and build effective dashboards and reports
