DPP is seeking a
Developer III for an opportunity with our client in the healthcare insurance industry.
Work location: Fully onsite in Columbia, SC.
Duration: 6 months
Terms: W2 contract
Work authorization: US Citizen; candidates must be eligible to earn a low-level (Public Trust) US security clearance.
Position summary:- The EDI Developer III will reside in the EDIG (Electronic Data Interchange Gateway) team working on the non-host side with a small team of developers.
- EDIG is responsible for incoming and outgoing X12 transactions from outside Trading Partners and Clearinghouses.
Day to day:- We are looking for a self-starter, team player, who has great communication skills.
- The main software used in this position is C and Shell Scripting.
- The main platforms are UNIX, RHEL, and Windows (with SFTP). The position works closely with the team lead on direction and job assignment.
- The position has on-call responsibilities in addition to the day-to-day responsibilities.
- The non-host side interacts with a host team and operations team in order to support the EDIG process managing healthcare claims.
Required skills: - Experience in a mid-range AIX or RHEL environment with: C programming, shell scripting, data reformatting, data transport (NDM, Mqueue), AIX/RHEL and Windows O/S.
- Knowledge of relevant operating systems, programming languages and development tools and their usage in the company.

Minimum required work experience:- 4 years of application development, systems testing or other job-related experience.
Required education/equivalencies:- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree;
- OR, Associates degree in CS, IT, or other job-related degree plus 2 years of work-related experience;
- OR, 4 years job-related work experience (total 8 years without a degree)
