DPP is seeking a Developer IV for an opportunity with our client in the healthcare insurance industry.
Work Location: Onsite in Columbia, SC Duration: 6 months Terms: W2 Contract
Responsibilities:
Developer will design, build, and migrate Python based services as part of a broader cloud modernization effort.
Daily responsibilities include analyzing existing systems, rewriting or refactoring components into Python, building cloud native services and APIs, and integrating those services into the target cloud environment.
Developers will implement CI/CD automation, collaborate closely with cloud engineers and architects, and ensure seamless migration of data, services, and application components.
Work will include building new Python modules, optimizing performance, writing unit/integration tests, and supporting deployment activities in the cloud.
Required Qualifications:
Python (advanced proficiency).
Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
API development & integration.
CI/CD / DevOps tooling (GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar).
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job-related degree;
OR 4 years of job-related work experience;
OR 2 years of job-related experience plus an associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job-related degree.
Required Work Experience:
6 years of application development, systems testing or other job-related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM).
Experience with refactoring or rewriting legacy systems.
