DPP is seeking a Developer IV for an opportunity with our client in the healthcare insurance industry.
Work Location: Hybrid in Columbia, SC; onsite Tues, Wed, Thurs and as needed Duration: 12 months Terms: W2 Contract Work Authorization: US Citizen; must have the ability to obtain a low-level (Public Trust) clearance
Responsibilities:
The Developer IV will support the TRICARE T5 and VA CCN lines of business and ensure sustained operational stability across these environments.
This role requires advanced technical expertise to maintain and enhance several critical integrations and secure data exchange processes that directly impact contract performance, compliance, and delivery timelines.
Required Qualifications:
Experience in COBOL, APS, JCL, SQL.
6 years of application development, systems testing or other job-related experience.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job-related degree;
OR 4 years of job-related work experience;
OR 2 years of job-related experience plus an associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job-related degree.
Strong knowledge of relevant operating systems, programming languages, and development tools and their usage in the company. Work Environment: Customer-focused, project-oriented programming environment. Fast paced, multi-platformed environment which may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in DB2 and JAVA.
Soft Skills:
Strong understanding of applications/development, quality assurance and integration methodologies, concepts and facilities in a mainframe, midrange, and/or PC/LAN environment.
Strong analysis, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrates logical abstract thinking and assimilating/adhering to project goals and deadlines.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Able to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
Strong knowledge of interpersonal skills/team building.
Familiar with project management concepts.
Pays attention to detail.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients, vendors etc.
