Description
CMHA is seeking a Development Analyst to provide analytical, financial, and project management support for affordable housing and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) development projects. The ideal candidate will be analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to effectively manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Underwrite multifamily real estate and affordable housing investment opportunities.
Conduct market research and analyze project feasibility.
Analyze LIHTC and other affordable housing programs and financing structures.
Assist with the acquisition, development, refinancing, and rehabilitation of affordable housing projects.
Assist with debt financing activities, including FHA financing.
Support preparation and submission of affordable housing funding applications.
Develop and maintain financial models, project budgets, and financial analyses.
Coordinate and monitor project due diligence, deliverables, and key milestones.
Review third-party reports and identify potential issues or areas requiring follow-up.
Assist with construction funding draw requests and monitor project expenditures against approved budgets.
Track funding approvals, disbursements, interest payments, and other financial deadlines.
Coordinate meetings and communicate project status with internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
Provide timely, professional, and exceptional service to internal departments and external partners.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, finance, economics, communications, or a related field.
One (1) to three (3) years of experience in real estate development, brokerage, affordable housing, finance, or a related field preferred.
Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and project management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint; advanced Excel skills preferred.
Experience with financial modeling, LIHTC, affordable housing, or real estate finance is a plus.
