Were looking for a Development Manager to help lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multifamily and mixed-use development projects from concept through completion. This role is ideal for a real estate professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys bringing complex projects to life.The Role:As a Development Manager, you will play a key role in managing all phases of the development process, including site evaluation, financial analysis, entitlement, design coordination, consultant management, and project execution. Youll work closely with internal partners and external stakeholders to move projects forward while balancing risk, schedule, budget, and long-term value creation. What Youll Do:Drive Development ProjectsManage multifamily and mixed-use development projects through planning, entitlement, design, and executionPrepare and maintain project financial models, pro formas, and investment analysesEvaluate market, environmental, engineering, and land use studies to support development decisionsIdentify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and oversee project-related contractsPrepare project updates and presentations for senior leadership and investment committeesCollaborate with design and construction teams to ensure projects align with company standards and objectivesBuild Strategic RelationshipsCultivate relationships with municipalities, consultants, brokers, landowners, and industry partnersRepresent Vivmark in meetings with community stakeholders and business partnersSupport business development activities and identify new investment opportunitiesLead Consultants and Team CoordinationManage consultant selection processes and negotiate service agreementsCoordinate architects, engineers, land planners, environmental consultants, and other project partnersFacilitate cross-functional project meetings, track milestones, and help resolve issues that impact project deliverySupport New Development OpportunitiesConduct market research, demographic analysis, and feasibility studiesParticipate in site evaluations, acquisition due diligence, and investment reviewsAssist in identifying and pursuing strategic development opportunities in target marketsWhat Were Looking ForBachelors degree requiredMBA with a Real Estate concentration or Masters in Real Estate Development preferredApproximately 3+ years of experience in real estate development, construction, finance, investments, operations, design, or a related fieldStrong financial modeling and analytical skillsExcellent project management and organizational abilitiesAbility to influence and collaborate across multiple stakeholders and disciplinesStrong communication skills with the ability to present recommendations to senior leaders and business partnersReal estate industry certifications such as LEED are a plusHow Vivmark Supports You:We know that our teams are the beating heart of our success and we re committed to showing our appreciation.We offer:A competitive benefits package that supports your health, financial well-being, and work-life balance, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with company match, paid vacation and company holidays, and exclusive team member housing discounts.Additional Info:AvalonBay is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and is committed to an inclusive and diverse work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
