DevOps Engineer

Summary

Our client is seeking a DevOps Engineer to provide reliable platforms and to run, build, deploy, and maintain software and applications that support business processes. This role supports application deployment and management in Azure and GitLab while providing DevOps support across app, data, and product teams in a small environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain CI/CD processes for in-house developed applications.
• Perform root cause analysis of production issues.
• Work with the Development Team to architect scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Automate manual IT processes.
• Maintain documentation for servers/solutions in use.
• Maintain source control software.
• Provide support to developers.
• Complete special assignments as requested by Technical Leadership.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience supporting application deployment and management on Windows, Azure, and GitLab.
• Experience using GitLab CI for CI/CD deployment.
• Experience managing Windows and Linux systems.
• Working knowledge of administering public Cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Working knowledge of databases and SQL.
• Knowledge and experience using scripting languages (BASH, Python, PowerShell, etc.).
• Effective communication, creativity, problem-solving, and logical thinking skills.

Preferred

• Experience with a container orchestration platform (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, etc.).
• Experience with a configuration management solution (Ansible, Puppet, Salt, etc.).
• Experience with VMware and general hardware/data center administration.
