DevOps / Release Management

Job Description:

Perform DevOps Planning and Release Management activities within the organization.

Responsibilities include:

-DevOps: Have a thorough understanding of DevOps best practices, CI/CD pipeline, industry wide DevOps capabilities/tools, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and DORA metrics.

Job responsibilities includes engaging key stakeholders from the squads, teams to conduct technical assessment, DevOps Maturity assessment to get insight into the technologies used by these squads and their DevOps maturity level respectively. Post initial assessment, have the ability to identify gaps (best practices, capability) and recommend DevOps best practices and tooling capabilities to improve the maturity level. Conduct ongoing monthly maturity assessment reviews and create an ecosystem for continuous feedback for improvement till the squad reaches Performing DevOps maturity state. Complement this by furnishing underlying DORA metrics and DevOps KPIs.

-Change/Release Management:

Have a thorough understanding of Change/Release management principles and activities. Experience with Cloud (AWS/Azure) change management tools and practices.

-SDLC: Have a thorough understanding of SDLC and the underlying best practices so as to participate in SDLC conversations and provide process, tooling recommendations. Visualize, create and make updates to process workflow design.

-Agile Tools and Methodologies: Should have a thorough understanding of SCRUM and Kanban methodologies to be able to work and perform in an Agile environment. Should be an expert/SME in Agile tools and utilities like Jira, Rally, ScriptRunner to create Jira dashboards, write scripts to facilitate workflow efficiencies and provide recommendations to squads within the organization.

-Communication and Presentation skills: Have exceptional communication (both oral and written) and presentation skills to be able to work on Newsletter content, create PP decks and deliver presentations within the organization. Good understanding of Excel, Jive and Tableau.

-Training and Marketing: Have the ability to conduct training sessions and record training videos.

-Great presentation and training skills.
