Introduction
We are looking for a skilled professional responsible for building, testing, and maintaining the infrastructure and tools for software/code development, deployment, and release. The role involves speeding up and automating aspects of the software lifecycle through a series of DevOps practices and processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 7 years of experience with Linux
- 3 years of experience with GCP
- 7 years of experience with Client Windows
- 7 years of experience with GitHub
- 7 years of experience with Jenkins
- 5 years of experience with Cloud Infrastructure
- 5 years of experience with Python
- 5 years of experience in a relevant field
- Prior work experience at client or in the client's industry
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- 3 years of experience with Azure
- Experience with embedded systems build and development process
- Team leadership experience
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Imbibe DevOps methodology and practices across the product lifecycle for various software components
- Accelerate software releases while ensuring security and mitigating the risk of failed/recalled software releases
- Ensure increase in cycle speed between feedback from end-user to updated software by leveraging continuous integration, continuous deployment, and continuous feedback
- Assess current systems and processes, and identify and implement ways to improve them
- Utilize platform and enterprise tools and infrastructure to facilitate DevOps methodology and approach
- Assist code/software releases and deployments in various environments like production, testing, sandbox, etc.
- Identify and spearhead creation of automation and innovation opportunities throughout the software product lifecycle
- Setting up, maintaining, and optimizing pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions)
- Deploy updates and fixes as required to ensure Continuous Integration
- Develop solutions to integrate with internal back-end systems as needed
- Perform root cause analysis of development and production build and pipeline issues
- Develop automation to enhance current processes
- Develop new procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
