Responsibilities:Specialized medical professionals in the art of roentgenography. Patient care specialist that works as both individual-care-provider and as part of a diagnostic team under the guidance of a Diagnostic Supervisor & the Radiologists. Performs tasks abiding by P&P, State Regulations, & ALARA radiation safety principles. Utilizes x-ray photon producing equipment to image the human body. Works under potentially stressful situations i.e., trauma cases. Performs a variety of imaging procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols. Functions as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in CQI activities.
Education
• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
• Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology required
Licenses and Certifications
• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
• CRT - State of California Certified Radiologic Technologist required
• CRTFP - State of California Radiologic Tech Fluoroscopy Permit required within 180 days of hire or transfer into position

Established from the roots of Inland Empire Community Health Center in Bloomington, CHSI has grown with community health centers in the counties of Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Diego. These centers have been developed in accordance with standards established for safety net providers by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA), the Public Health Service (PHS), and the Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC).
As such, services are offered to the neediest in each community - the un-insured and under-insured, the working poor, those with limited ability to pay, the homeless, and the indigent. Services are provided at discounted (sliding fee scale) rates for those who qualify based on gross annual income and family size.
