Diesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanic (CDL A) - Job Description
Essel is seeking a reliable and skilled Diesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanic with a CDL A license to join our operations team. This role is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing diesel engines and heavy equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. The candidate will be expected to have a strong knowledge of diesel mechanics and heavy equipment systems, as well as the ability to drive commercial vehicles as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, heavy equipment machinery, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
- Conduct routine and preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
- Operate and drive heavy equipment and commercial vehicles safely under CDL A regulations.
- Perform troubleshooting and make necessary repairs to diesel engines and equipment components.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure all equipment meets safety and operational standards.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including DOT regulations.
- Ensure the cleanliness and proper functioning of tools and work area.
