Diesel Mechanic

Pay: $25–$30/hr. Based on Experience

Schedule: Varies depending on business needs and scheduled shifts

Job Type: Full-Time

We are currently seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team! We’re looking for someone with a strong mechanical background who can diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.

This is a great opportunity for a mechanic with experience working on trucks, heavy equipment, fleet vehicles, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, or other diesel-powered machinery.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, vehicles, and heavy equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
• Repair and replace engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and other components
• Perform oil changes, fluid services, filter replacements, and other routine maintenance
• Inspect equipment and identify potential mechanical issues before they become major problems
• Use diagnostic equipment and hand/power tools to identify and repair issues
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Assist with additional mechanical and maintenance duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous diesel mechanic or heavy-duty mechanical experience preferred
• Experience working on diesel trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, fleet vehicles, agricultural equipment, or similar machinery
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and understand repair manuals, diagrams, and technical information
• Comfortable using diagnostic tools and mechanical equipment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license preferred
• Relevant certifications or formal training are a plus, but hands-on experience is highly valued

Compensation & Schedule:

• $25–$30/hr., depending on experience and skillset
• Schedule varies based on business needs and scheduled shifts
• Potential opportunities for overtime may be available
