Diesel Mechanic

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines and related systems across a wide range of vehicles and equipment, including farm machinery. The ideal candidate will have strong automotive diagnostic skills and hands-on experience working with both hand and power tools. As a Diesel Mechanic, you’ll play an essential role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
• Utilize automotive diagnostic tools and schematics to accurately diagnose mechanical issues.
• Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems as necessary.
• Disassemble and reassemble engines and equipment for thorough inspection and repair.
• Safely and effectively use hand tools, power tools, and forklifts during repair work.
• Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure they meet safety regulations.
• Keep detailed records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues.

Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in diesel engine maintenance techniques.
• Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics tools and processes.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting required for repairs.
• Experience with farm machinery is a plus.
• Familiarity with the safe use of hand tools, power tools, and forklifts.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in assembly tasks.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with the team.
