As a Mechanic, you’ll work alongside your team on preventive maintenance and repair of a wide variety of tractors, trailers, and equipment in the LaPlace, LA area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform heavy and minor repairs on trucks and trailers
• Maintain a clean and organized shop, along with accurate parts inventory
• Utilize computer-based diagnostic systems, experience, and skills to assess repairs, and determine warranty issues
• Carry out a detailed preventative maintenance program, including fueling, greasing, oil and fluid changes, and truck inspections for needed repairs
• Accurately log all work performed in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Ensure that all maintenance work is compliant with regulatory standards
• Follow proper safety procedures and protocols in all maintenance tasks
• Assist in creating and updating maintenance procedures as necessary

What We’re Looking For:

• Diesel Mechanic experience or completion of a Diesel Certification program
• Familiarity with the Manager Plus maintenance system is a plus
• Strong experience with suspension systems, rear ends, transmissions, air brakes, minor engine work (such as injectors, turbos), and more
• Proficiency in using computer-based diagnostic tools to identify needed repairs
• A Class A CDL is a plus, but not required

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand or walk on uneven surfaces for extended periods
• Navigating the facility may involve exposure to harsh weather, ladders, racks, slick or uneven surfaces, and other industrial hazards
• Ability to lift up to 100lbs independently
