Job Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspension components, and electrical systems using schematics and automotive electrical repair techniques
Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, shocks & struts replacement, and vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance
Repair and fabricate parts using welding, power tools, hand tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair needs
Troubleshoot complex mechanical systems involving hydraulics, HVAC systems on heavy equipment, and powertrain components
Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers for testing or repair purposes
Perform alignment procedures and suspension repairs to maintain vehicle safety standards
Ensure all repairs comply with safety regulations and industry standards while maintaining detailed service records

Qualifications
Proven dealership experience or extensive heavy equipment mechanic background with a strong understanding of diesel engine repair
Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for diagnostics and repairs Hands-on experience with fabrication, welding, soldering, and use of power tools for custom repairs or modifications
Knowledge of heavy truck repair including transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, and vehicle electrical systems
Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts safely and efficiently
Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software and electronic testing tools Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and maintenance needs
Physical ability for heavy lifting, working in confined spaces or at heights as required during repairs
