Diesel Technician/Mechanic Responsibilities:
Conduct test-drives and use diagnostic tools to assess vehicle systems and components.
Diagnose, repair, and maintain automotive systems including engines, transmissions, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
Communicate effectively with the Service Advisor to keep customers informed about any additional repairs needed and provide accurate time estimates for completion.
Qualifications:
3+ years of diesel mechanic experience required
In-depth knowledge of Class 8 trucks
Must provide your own tools
Willing to undergo a drug screening and background check
Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
Key Skills:
Attention to Detail: A diesel mechanic must be thorough—small issues can lead to bigger problems. Your sharp eye for detail will ensure all parts and systems are thoroughly inspected and repaired.
Customer Service: Strong communication skills are essential. You’ll need to interact with customers, explaining vehicle issues and offering repair solutions. Building rapport with repeat customers is key!
Dexterity: You’ll be working with your hands, using both simple and complex tools to repair and maintain truck components, so manual dexterity is essential.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
