Ten Ton Truck Center & Forklift Repair is looking for a Diesel Shop Foreman to join our Buena Park, CA shop and help lead daily shop operations, coordinate technician workflow, and provide technical guidance while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and productivity.
This is a hands-on leadership position for an experienced technician who can help organize the workload, support other technicians, and step in when complex repairs require additional technical expertise.
Compensation & Benefits
- $40–$45/hour, depending on experience and qualifications

What You’ll Do
- Coordinate daily workflow for technicians and apprentices
- Assign repair work based on technician experience, workload, and shop priorities
- Provide technical guidance and hands-on assistance with complex diagnostics and repairs
- Review completed work for quality, accuracy, and proper repair procedures
- Help ensure repair orders and documentation are completed accurately and on time
- Support technician training, mentoring, and skill development
- Communicate repair status, delays, technical concerns, and workflow issues to management
- Help ensure proper use and care of shop tools, equipment, and diagnostic systems
- Assist with troubleshooting difficult mechanical and electrical problems
- Help maintain shop safety, organization, and productivity standards
- Support parts and inventory coordination as needed
- Address day-to-day technician and workflow concerns professionally
- Assist management with hiring, onboarding, and employee development as requested
- Work alongside the team when additional technical or production support is needed
What We’re Looking For
- Extensive hands-on experience in diesel, heavy-duty equipment, automotive, or related mechanical repair
- Previous lead technician, foreman, or shop leadership experience strongly preferred
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair knowledge
- Ability to organize workflow and prioritize competing repair needs
- Ability to lead, coach, and communicate effectively with technicians
- Comfortable using professional tools, shop equipment, and diagnostic technology
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and accurate documentation
- Valid California driver's license required
- Relevant technical certifications are a plus
Work Environment
This is a hands-on repair shop environment with exposure to vehicles and equipment, mechanical components, fumes, and moderate to high noise levels. The Foreman will spend time both coordinating shop activity and assisting with hands-on repair work.
